फिर कुछ बड़ा होकर उन्होंने कदंब वन में बलराम के साथ मिलकर कालिया नाग का वध किया। फिर इसी प्रकार वहीं ताल वन में दैत्य जाति का धनुक नाम का अत्याचारी व्यक्ति रहता था जिसका बलदेव ने वध कर डाला। उक्त दोनों घटनाओं से कृष्ण और बलदेव की ख्याति दूर-दूर तक फैल गई थी। इसके अलावा यहां पर उन्होंने यमलार्जुन, शकटासुर वध, प्रलंब वध और अरिष्ट वध किया।
